Marker Gun

Ah what a bit of bordom and PVC pipe can do. This is my Marker Gun Mach 1. I've had some ideas to improve it with something like a gravity fed magazine and a sort of cocking mechanism that I'd put on the outside of the gun so that it's still a manual reload but it's semi-automatic and that's nice. Thoughts of laser sight have been brought up because blowing and aiming at the same time is a little difficult. Also mounting a trigger and CO
2 tank has been brought up as well so that no blowing will need to be done.

THE POSTING MUST STOP!!!

Okay!, so now that I think I pretty much have a blog for each topic that I'm working on, I won't be posting on this blog about my topic specific work anymore. CAD work will be in 3D stuff and other topics in the other blogs.

Here's a better picture of my work! And now I can do other things like animation.

Okay, So now I've been working on CAD stuff and I've found some tutorials that explain how to use certain features by making small simple things like a small spring, or a crude engine block. I've also found some CAD software that is free, and it's open source. It's called FREECAD, very clever name, I agree.

Even more progress

Okay, so I've been working pretty diligently on A+CAD and at this point for most of the stuff on that I don't really need a mouse so that's nice. I've been using shortcut commands, coordinance commands, length commands, and angle commands. It's pretty easy to figure out how to use and get used to once you do and think about where everything is on the three axis. So that's nice, however, for some reason when I got the licenses for Solid Works, i lost the ability to open A+CAD. Which that is not nice at all. So there are some things that need to be worked out. I have also figured out how to send an A+CAD file into Solid Works but I don't know how to make it treat the entities as solid objects, it still shows wire frame. So that is a problem.
I'm reading thermodynamics so that I can do well at my internship at ASU.
And finally I'm still doing okay learning C++ programming, and I've been sort of thinking about some of the things that I've learned to be able to do new stuff. Like when I was learning about strings and i tried to have the user assign with input the value of a string even though i never read that. And it worked. I've talked to another student that is better than me at multiple languages of programming, and it's gotten me to start thinking about learning JAVA.

Progress

Okay so I can't figure out how to get a screen capture of my screen to post a visual of my work but I've done lines, splines, angles, and a lot of other stuff. I made a very complicated 2D shape without any mouse gestures at all, nothing but typing. The skill that I've learned has made me better at creating 3D objects. I think I'm gonna try to make a semi-cartoony face now.
